Digital Home Systems was founded in 1999 by Tom Manna, a lifetime musician, technology enthusiast, and seasoned sales and marketing executive. With a keen understanding of what makes a first rate audio and video experience, Tom turned his passion into a vocation.
Along with a talented team of music industry professionals and fellow techies with a high aptitude for craftsmanship, Tom established DHS to meet the exacting technology needs of discriminating clients that shared his high aesthetic standards. (Tom’s earliest clients came from the music and film industries, and remain to this day.)
Within a few short years, Digital Home Systems earned a reputation for providing a sophisticated digital platform reflecting an unparalleled level of performance, simplicity, and elegance. Today, DHS’ wizardry can be found in distinctive properties throughout New York’s Westchester County, Fairfield County in Connecticut, NYC, and the Hamptons.
Meet Our team
Tom Manna has a life-long passion for music, technology, and blending the two in everyday life. After twenty years as a sales and marketing executive, Tom followed his heart and established DHS.
Running a customer-centric, boutique home technology firm comes naturally to Tom. He spent ten years in management at a global leader in customized electronic marketing, and served on management teams at other computer and Internet-based organizations. An accomplished musician, he started playing guitar in local club bands as a teenager, and still plays to this day. Most importantly, Tom is the ultimate early adaptor. He has an avid curiosity for the newest, best-performing technology, and an uncompromising commitment to craftsmanship, excellence and customer service.
Paul is DHS’s alchemist of form and function. Equally at home in the technology, music and art worlds, he has been a highly regarded audio engineer in New York City for many years, engineering sound systems for some of the city’s largest clubs such as The Palladium, Mars, and Roseland Ballroom. Paul was a founding partner and engineer for Good Brothers Mobile Recording, a mobile broadcast and recording studio specializing in digital formatted audio and video recording for the television industry. Paul’s work has been featured on MTV, VH1 and network TV. Paul is also an accomplished artist who’s continuously expanding media include sculpture, printmaking, and installations, many exhibited in New York City. Paul sees the infinite possibilities in every digital home technology project, and holds his team’s work to the highest standards.
Business Development Manager
John is somewhat of a classic tale of starting off as a small remodeling firm specializing mostly in siding and windows and grew into a company that built award winning custom built single family homes in Fairfield County CT and Westchester County NY. Literally hundreds of remodeling projects from 1987 to 2001 at which time we switched to building from the ground up both on spec and for clients.
